  None of the words above fit - it was a garden variety motel, no more, no less. It is convenient to Tanglewood and while overpriced, it was less expensive than some other choices.

  Breakfast is clearly an afterthought - offered so they can say they include breakfast and "compete" with the Hampton, Fairfield and a variety of other Inns. The offerings and the setting in which they are offered just don't hold up. I would recomend it as a comfortable, clean place to sleep, that's about all.

  Was centrally located to spots we visited in the Berkshires...Tanglewood, Williams College/Clark Museum, Melville's Home. Close to nice restaurants which was a great surprise. Very friendly owners, clean room, quiet guests.

  They had a very clean pool

  For the 199.00 $ price we paid, the room stunk to high heaven, we could not open the window, I attemped to have a cup of coffee, was rudely stopped by manager, we do not have coffee. We were unable to turn on shower, had to request help. No safety bar in bath tub area. The room was very tired and shabby. We are now traveling the East Coast and will not use aaa or the internet to find rooms. Booking # 697396269. Stayed July 27th. Will be returning to San Francisco end of August.   It was clean.

  This is not an Inn, it is a motel. Front office (with ice & vending machines) closes at 9:00 pm during the week and 10:00 pm on weekends. You can get in touch with owners in emergency but these machines should be located where you can get to them at any time. Also, the continental breakfast is okay - an assortment of breads for toasting, coffee, tea, an assortment of cereals as well, my problem was if you wanted cream cheese you had to share a tub with everyone else, they did have individual pats of butter and the juice and milk was also shared from their respective cartons. The eating area has only 2 tables and the space for the food prep is too small. If there are more than 2 people getting breakfast, you have to wait.

  The owner was very helpful about giving us back door directions to Tanglewood and that made our trip there on July 4th so much easier with much less traffic.

  The owners were lovely and tried very hard to make our stay pleasant.

  Not all of the plumbing worked. We were unable to to switch from shower to bath because the selector was jammed. The bed was not bad, but a bit soft for our taste.

  Loved the office it was beautifully decorated and warm. Very nice staff. Great location enabling us to walk into town.

  It really needs some updating. The room was extremely plain and old. It was hard to get the hot water working. I would rather pay more for an updated room. The room was not inviting or warm and welcoming. We left as soon as we got up and dressed.

  1.We needed to leave before 8am. They refused to give us breakfast at 7:40 am as the office opens only at 8am.2. Insects in the room.3. When we arrived it was very cold in the room. 4. The room was extremely expensive for the quality that was not superior to any motel chain.

  That you could drive your car to the door. In my mind it was more of a motel and not an inn.

  The bed was terrible. We even brought our featherbed for the top and it was still uncomfortable. I didn't sleep very much, if at all.

  It was a bad decision to book here. Many other motel options were available for less and we foolishly booked here.

  Last renovated in 1970's. TV an old tube type model that was barely functional. Heat did not work. breakfast was not available until after 8:00 am.

  Clean, no-frills motel; friendly staff; fridge and microwave in room; updated bathroom; adequate continental breakfast (nice Keurig); easy Pittsfield location. A perfectly satisfactory and reasonable choice for a busy Tanglewood weekend.
